As a made-to-order products company, you get the benefit of careful workmanship and impeccable fabrics in the size and style you like. Not that mass-produced stuff from China.
With that in mind, please carefully review our return policy below.
1. Bow Ties and Neckties - Handmade in Vermont
All of our standard bow ties and standard neckties are returnable for any reason at all – for 60 days after the purchase date – as long as they are in new/unused condition and (preferably) in their original packaging.
So, what's a "standard" bow tie? What's a "standard" necktie?
Our standard bow ties are freestyle slimline bow ties in neck size 15.5"-19.5".
All other sizes and styles of bow ties are made to order and therefore, not returnable. These non-returnable sizes/styles include:
- Butterfly/Jumbo bow ties in all sizes and styles
- Diamond Point bow ties in all sizes and styles
- Very Slimline bow ties in all sizes and styles.
- Pre-tied and Clip-on bow ties in all sizes and styles.
- Club (Rounded) bow ties in all sizes and styles
Our standard neckties are 58” long and 3 1/4" wide. All other lengths and widths are made to order and therefore, are not returnable.
2. Our Other Handmade In Vermont Products
Part of what sets us apart from the crowd is that we handcraft every single Vermont-Made product in every single order that we receive. Nothing is mass produced. Indeed, the majority of our products are made to order, and many of them are customized to meet your individual specification. As a result, we cannot accept returns of these other Handmade in Vermont products:
- Ascots and Cravats
- Beau Fleur Boutonnieres
- Braces
- Cummerbunds
- D-Ring Belts
- Eyeglass cases and key fobs
- Hair Bows and Headbands
- Hair Scarves, Scrub Caps, Kippah and Head Scarves
- Hatbands
- Infinity Scarves
- Kids' Ties
- Dog Bow Ties and Collars
- Double-sided Pocket Squares
- Aprons and Pot Holders
- Wristlets and Tote Bags
- Men's Neckerchiefs and Silk Scarves
Of course, in the rare instance where this is a defect or flaw in the fabric or workmanship on any of our made-to-order or custom products, please call us at 800-488-8437 to let us know. We’ll arrange for an exchange.
Please also note that no monogrammed products are returnable.

Our cotton face masks – and our underwear, of course – may not be exchanged or returned. We hope we don’t have to explain why. ;-)
All other products may be returned to us within 30 days of purchase. They must be returned in their original packaging – with their original tags and/or hardware – and in unused condition.
Like most companies, gift cards cannot be returned.

Please remember: Any shipments made by Federal Express require physical addresses; they will not deliver to Post Office boxes.
What and When?
As you know, we individually create every one of our ties and accessories right here in Vermont. So, while our Slimline/Standard, Freestyle bow ties generally ship out within a day or two of the receipt of your order (Monday-Friday), other items may take 2 - 5 days individually create for you before they are shipped. If you need your order by a specific date, please call us at 800-488-8437. We'll bend over backwards to meet your deadline, and let you know if there will be any extra charges.
Our cotton face masks can and should! be cleaned regularly depending on how often you use them. Generally speaking, you can treat your mask as you would other laundry, and clean it in a washing machine using hot water and detergent. Then lay flat to dry.
We recommend that before you put your mask in a washing machine you shorten your ear or head loops to be sure that the adjusters do not fall off the straps.
If you need or prefer to wash your mask by hand, lather it with soap, scrub for at least 20 seconds with hot water.
